For Reto Baumgartner, the watchmaker and owner of RB Baumgartner AG, watches are not just a product, they are his passion. The movement of the BASCULE is a historic hand-wound Revue Thomen T44 (MSR44) movement. With an impressive power reserve of 42 hours at the time, the owner can still be sure that the watch will always run reliably. Another highlight of this masterpiece by RB Baumgartner is the watch strap. It is made from the finest sturgeon leather, which originates from the Frutigen Tropical House in the Bernese Oberland, where the sturgeons are bred primarily for their exquisite Swiss Alpine caviar. The sturgeon skin is carefully and gently processed to ensure the highest quality leather. Only the best pieces are selected to be made into watch straps exclusively for RB Baumgartner. Each individual strap is made by hand with great precision and attention to detail. The individual patina makes each watch strap unique.
