Build your own watch – in the 1-day workshop at the small Aarberg watch workshop of RB Baumgartner, you have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of watchmaking and create your own unique piece.

Under the expert and patient guidance of Reto Baumgartner, watchmaker and owner, you will be equipped with tweezers and a precision magnifying glass to dismantle and then reassemble a practice movement. You will then have a go at making your own watch. You choose your model from the range and assemble it piece by piece until the final touch brings your watch to life and it starts ticking.

In the RB Baumgartner workshop, you will not only learn about the various components of a mechanical watch, but also about the manual skills required to build a high-quality watch. From selecting the materials and assembling the individual parts to fine-tuning the movement – every step is carefully explained and supervised. As Reto Baumgartner organises the private workshop, you benefit from his full attention and guidance.

By designing and assembling your own watch with your own hands, you will not only receive a unique and individual piece of jewellery, but also a deeper understanding of the complex technology behind a mechanical watch. The workshop therefore not only offers a creative and exciting experience, but also the opportunity to create a masterpiece of craftsmanship that will give you a lifetime of pleasure.
