DOM

DOM, 4545m altitude: an imposing mountain in the Mischabels massif. It is the highest summit, located completely in Helvetic territory.
The origin of the name DOM probably comes from the canon (=Domherr in German) of Sion, Joseph Anton Berchtold, the first to have topographed the Mischabels massif in 1833.
I reached its summit on 27 May 2012 with my guide George. The DOM is not only a crowning achievement for a mountaineer, but also for passionate watch lovers, like the people who make up the RB Baumgartner brand.
